Personal:

I was born in Agana, Guam but was raised on Adak Island, Alaska–a different type of “island hopping”.  I like to tell my friends that although Sarah Palin might have been able to see Russia, I grew up on an island so close to Russia that I could smell what they were cooking!  I enjoy traveling, checking out new restaurants and learning about wine.  I race competitively, when I have time, with the San Francisco Outrigger Canoe Club.  I also love snowboarding, surfing, am an avid reader and I love spending time with my family and friends.

I hope you enjoy this blog and perhaps, along the way, we’ll both learn something.
